ALEKSANDRA JACKOWSKA

High school in Komorów offers international exchange to Netherlands, Norway and Romania. I took part in exchange to Holland and I really liked that. Holland is known for windmills and tulips.
Polish students stayed at Dutch hosts in their homes with their families. School in Zwolle prepared for us many interesting workshops to choose like journalist workshop, dancing workshop, maths workshop and painting workshop. I chose the second one and I loved it. Dance is one of my interests.
During the exchange week in Netherlands we had also a free day to spend it with our host families in our own way. On my exchange we spend this day all together – we went on paintball. It was fun! After that we came home to wash paint in hair and decided to have a party.
We had been organised a trip to Amsterdam, one of the most interesting and multinational city in the world. There were so many small shops with pretty little suvenirs in thin streets.
Of course Dutch students visited our beautiful Poland known for delicious apples, potatoes and knedles. School in Komorów prepared for international guests DIY, graffiti, science workshop, designing T-shirts, singing workshop and dancing workshop.
Our guests seemed to be happy that they decided to come to our country.
We also organised a trip to show them our capital city – Warsaw. We were sightseeing most historical places; we saw The Royal Baths and we walked through the old town. We planned delicious tipical Polish dinner for our international friends.
It's worth taking part in international exchange because it gives us a chance to make new friendships and it helps us practising English.
I don't regret I went to Holland. It was a great week with memorable moments. I hope to keep in touch with my host.
